July Sketch Contest
Jen's at it again...with another fantastic challenge! See her details below.

Hi EveryoneI tend to scrap 12x12 size pages specifically. I have done some 8x8 albums, usually as gifts and even smaller albums but for my own everyday pages, I tend to stick with 12x12. I think it's because my albums are 12x12 and if I wanted to do a different size page, would it sit all by itself waiting for an album. I am horrible at putting my pages into albums anyways but I at least know they have an album home to go to when I decide to put them away. Anyways, I ran across this on 2 Peas:
After looking at this, I said to myself "what a freeing way to scrap." I love the idea that you can mix up an album with different pages but have it all flow. Ever feel like you only have one good picture to scrap and 12x12 seems so overwhelming. You could just do one 8x8 LO or maybe an 8.5 x 11. How fun!SOOOOOO, this leads to the July challenge. I decided to provide 2 sketches but instead of being 12x12, they are 11 x 8.5 landscape. The sketches are brand new for July from www.pagemaps.com. If you have not used one of their sketches before, be sure to check their site out!
Here is the 1st sketch:
Here is the 2nd sketch:
Use one sketch as inspiration to make a LO. Hopefully some of you will make a landscape one but that is not a requirement. For those of you who scrap strict 12x12, you can also participate and just adapt the sketch to suit your needs. I want to see any and all inspiration. Please post your design to the gallery and make sure "July sketch contest" is part of the title and feel free to post and share here too!The contest will run from July 1st through midnight EST on July 27th. You can enter more than once if you like. All entries will be entered into a drawing where one winner will be chosen. Want to know the prize? Of course you do! The prize for this contest will be a set of Autumn Leaves Calendar stamps as seen here:
Thanks for participating!

Susan is calling the shots for the May layout contest. If you like to be challenged, you're going to want to try this one! Here are the details...
Now's the time for the May Sketch Contest!!! I've found a sketch from Becky Fleck's April sketches. It's quite challenging, at least for me! I'd love to see how you utilize this one. I like the angle on it. I'd love to see something for spring or maybe even Mother's Day, since it's May, maybe with bright colorful papers. The contest will run from May 1st through May 25th and close at midnight on the 25th. The design team will vote on your entries and a winner will be announced here at the website and also on our blog on May 31st. This month's winner will receive an adorable pack of multi-colored Paper Frills from Doodlebug! Prize valued at $9.95. I have these frills and LOVE them. So many bright colors in one package. Here's a link: http://www.prestostore.com/catalog.php/sdumplin/dt34011/pd441089So get outside and takes some spring photos and let's see what you've got!
